Our annual Autopia event was held on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th of March 2026.
This year we collaborated with the Castlemaine State Festival who celebrated 50 Years of the Festival and asked us to organise a Show n Shine on the Sunken oval as part of their final Community Day on Sunday at the Botanical Gardens.

Our Coffee Cruise host Greg Carr led a short cruise of amazing vehicles to the Sunken Oval to participate in the Show and Shine. The weather was perfect and the day was enjoyed and supported by the wider community. It was a great opportunity to engage and educate those not aware of the automotive connection in the town.
Saturday was also a great day, and commenced with a short cruise from town to Autoplex where coffee & toasties were served and a BBQ by our volunteers.
The photographic displays by Darron Davies were well received and many enjoyed the trade stands on show. Our volunteers are to be commended on their hard work making the Automotive Library & display room with old T-shirts, memorabilia and the amazing artwork by the late Aden Jacobi bringing a stagnant space to life.
Peter Carpenter hosted the model car display with modellers from far and wide coming to show their skills and exhibits. Trophies were awarded and donated by Peter.
The CSAF Board would like to thank all of those who attended, displayed a vehicle at Autopia over the weekend. We appreciate the support of the Food vendors, Traders, Model car enthusiasts and Darron Davies photography. And our volunteers who worked tirelessly all weekend. 👏
We hope everyone enjoyed the event – Autopia Committee😊

It was a busy afternoon tea for volunteers the Thursday prior to Autopia. Thank you everyone who assisted.
