2026 AGM

What a great morning we had at Autoplex for our Annual General Meeting on Sunday 16 August 2026. A big thank you to the 20 members that attended.

Chair, Graeme Inwood reported on a busy year of activity, thanking fellow Board members and volunteers for their valuable work, and members for their support.

Company Secretary, Con Soldatos, talked about the transition to the new company name, the reason behind the rebranding, and all the paperwork required. We are just about there!

Treasurer, Carol Hadfield took us through the financials. Thanks to our community tenants rent and memberships, we have sufficient cash revenue to cover operational expenses, but need to access capital funding to address the building issues, activate the museum and enable us to generate even more revenue.

A copy of the Chairs Report and Financials can be emailed to CSAF members upon request.

In exciting news we announced the appointment of Convergence Design Australia to start work on a Master Plan for the Museum and Interpretation Centre in October, an important step towards obtaining major capital funding.

Anthony van Emerick took the chair and declared all positions vacant. Our previous 3 Directors and 3 Board members were duly re-elected to their same positions. CHAIR: Graeme Inwood, SECRETARY: Con Soldatos, TREASURER: Carol Hadfield.

Rod Hadfield declined a nomination as an Executive Member and was thanked for his service. Mel Birch-Inwood accepted nomination as a non voting Advisory Member. Welcome Mel.

Our final item of business was to adopt the amended constitution to reflect the CSAF rebranding.

Following the AGM, members enjoyed an entertaining talk by Sharon Soldatos and Stacey Raselli [aka the Lightening Queens] about their positive experience in the Shitbox Rally raising funds for cancer. They loved it so much, they have signed up again for next year. [We are not sure if Con and Glen were consulted.]

A big thank to Rotary Castlemaine for cooking a BBQ lunch that we enjoyed in beautiful sunshine. A great way to end our meeting.
